The CCME at Peking University invites applications for faculty positions across all broadly defined areas of chemistry, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, chemical biology, theoretical chemistry, and analytical chemistry. Ideal candidates will hold a Ph.D. and demonstrate an exceptional track record in research, an innovative future research plan, and a commitment to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful applicants will be expected to establish a strong research and publication record, teach courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs, and actively engage in university service and community outreach. Multiple positions are open at all ranks:

Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor

-The applicant should have a doctorate degree and demonstrate a strong academic track-record.

-For senior appointments, the applicant should have notable academic achievements and hold tenured (Associate) Professorship or equivalent positions in world-leading universities, research institutes or industry.

Preferred Research Areas:

1. Organic Chemistry

a) Organic Electrochemistry;

b) Automation and AI-powered Organic Synthesis;

c) Organometallic Chemistry (particularly mechanistic study based on physical-organic chemistry).

2. Polymer Chemistry

a) Polymer physics and high-performances polymeric materials;

b) Functional polymers and soft matters;

c) AI-assisted and data-driven polymer sciences.

3. Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

Interdisciplinary research combining AI and theoretical chemistry; applicants with PhD

degree in one of these fields would be preferred: Theoretical Chemistry,

Computational Chemistry, Artificial Intelligence or related fields.

4. We also welcome applicants specializing in Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Applied Chemistry!

Job Responsibilities:

-Develop a globally recognized, externally-funded research program;

-Establish collaborative networks with other research groups;

-Supervise PhD students and postdoctoral researchers;

-Graduate training (with reduced teaching load in first two years);

-Contribute to academic programs.

Salary, Benefits and Start-up package

Each faculty member will receive an internationally competitive salary and benefits package. Details will be negotiated with the Dean upon completion of interviews.
