課題組簡介

　　季者，beat365官方网站化學生物學系助理教授，課題組長，博士生導師。課題組面向化學生物學和物理化學的交叉領域，聚焦生物大分子内靜電環境對化學鍵的活化作用，發展新型的金屬酶、核酶，開發高效的蛋白共價反應、共價藥物，并探索蛋白質機器的生物化學應用。現應課題組建設需求，誠招博士後1-2名。

　　Research Interests

　　Within specific protein sites, exceptionally intense electric fields can be found, reaching magnitudes as high as 100 MV/cm, or 10 V/nm. These remarkable electric fields are produced by charges and dipoles held by amino acid residues, peptide backbones, and metal ions. Once the electric fields are projected onto a chemical bond undergoing a reaction, its transition state can be substantially stabilized, leading to rate acceleration by several orders of magnitude.

　　The Ji lab aims to leverage the power of protein electrostatics to activate chemical bonds that are believed inert and to drive chemical reactions that are often sluggish. We are especially interested in the chemical bonds and the reactions at the interface of chemistry and biology. By combining synthetic chemistry, molecular biology, enzymology, and spectroscopy, we aim to develop novel biocatalysts, medicines, and diagnostics that improve human health.

　　導師簡介

　　季者，2014年本科畢業于清華大學化學系，師從石高全教授。2014至2019年在美國加州大學伯克利分校化學系Omar M. Yaghi教授課題組開展博士研究。2020年至2023年在美國斯坦福大學化學系Steven G. Boxer課題組從事博士後研究。研究成果以第一作者、共同第一作者、和通訊作者身份發表于 Science, Nat. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., PNAS, Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater. 等學術期刊。
